About our project

Franklin Wu led the WaviTrack project. He earned a first-class honours MEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from University College London in September 2026. He worked at JD.com for two years as a computer vision engineer; his other experience includes GPU-accelerated networking and long-context language-model research.

Xander Mills earned a first-class honours MEng from the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University College London in September 2026. Xander began a PhD in mechanical engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong the same month. His internships include technology and solutions consulting at IBM in London and additive-manufacturing research at A*STAR SIMTech in Singapore.

Guanfang Lai is an MEng student in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University College London. He led WaviTrack's simulation work, including IMU and UWB simulation and the SMPL processing pipeline, with forward kinematics.

Wentao Shi graduated in 2026 with an MEng from the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University College London. He now works at DJI.

Thomas J Gilbert is an Associate Professor (Teaching) in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University College London, where he serves as Departmental Tutor. His expertise spans digital signal processing, power electronics, and electrical power engineering, with a strong focus on engineering education.

Ruofeng Liu is an assistant professor at Michigan State University and a former research scientist at Bosch Research (2022–2024). He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, advised by Tian He. His research spans wireless sensing, multimodal machine learning, 5G/6G and IoT communications, and embodied AI.
